Some say he sprouted from an acorn. Others, that he emerged from a wise, old yew tree. Those that know him...don't say these things.
Having grown up in the leafy paradise of Birmingham, it wasn't until later in life that David (aka, The Woodsman) encountered the wonders of the woods and fell in love with their mystery. As a National Trust Ranger in North Devon, he was schooled early on in the art of coppicing and hedgelaying. In the 15 years since, he has worked in woods and laid hedges from Chichester to Cheltenham, and a few places in between.
Nowadays, the Woodsman's axe falls mostly in the Cotswolds. However, he is known to venture further afield to the wilds of West Worcestershire, North Warwickshire and even the far off lands of Herefordshire, when the opportunity presents itself.
