Whether its a gnarly old field hedge or a maiden row of hawthorn, the Woodsman will ensure your hedgerows receive the finest of care.

Grants are currently available through the government's Countryside Stewardship Capital grants scheme to help incentive landowners to lay their hedges. The Woodsman can advise you on eligibility and assist with the application process.

Planting hedgerows is a fantastic way to improve the biodiversity on your land, reduce rainwater run off and provide shelter for livestock and crops.  With over 15 years experience in hedgerow planting and management, The Woodsman can advise you on the best planting mix and density to meet your needs. We can also assist with helping you determine if you're eligible for government grants for hedge planting and take you through the process of applying.

All of the Woodsman's BBQ charcoal is made from wood sourced from local, sustainably managed woodlands within or around the Cotswolds. Using a traditional steel ring kiln the wood is heated to over 500 degrees to produce the finest lump wood charcoal this side  of the River Thames.
